Music first captured the creative interest of Irish born author D L Richardson. From choir, to learning guitar, to singing with the school band and performing in school musicals, to eventually forming her own rock band. At age 26 she swapped her instruments for typewriters and later computers and began her writing career instead.
She had a few short stories published, but creativity and passion are only two aspects of writing. She took a few short courses on writing and then focused on writing novels.
She now has six books published and usually has a few works in progress at the same time. She writes speculative fiction – horror, paranormal, fantasy, science-fiction, time travel. Loathe to be put into a box, the one thing about D L Richardson books is that the reader will enjoy a unique story.
She lives in Australia on the NSW South Coast with her husband and dog. When she’s not writing or reading she can be found playing her piano or guitars, renovating the house, or walking the dog.
