Would you please tell us a bit about your new book, A Witch’s Dream World?

A Witch’s Dream World is about a high school senior who wakes up to her mothers death and she has to move to live with her twin aunts. When she gets to her new home and new school she discovers a world of witchcraft and that she is a powerful witch. She finds out about many new “others” that also live among the humans. Her coven comes under attack when members want to overthrow others and become the leaders of them all. Amongst all this duress Elizabeth must decide which side she is on and will defend or is it all just a dream?

Is their romance in A Witch’s Dream world, and if so, what kind of romance can we expect to read?

Elizabeth does find love, two actually. A Witch’s Dream World skirts along the edge with a splash of very clean romance. I would say it would be appropriate for ages 9 and above in the romance department.

Will you please tell us some things about your main character Elizabeth?

Strong-willed Elizabeth faces her new life with vigor. She is smart, funny, and turns out to be pretty bad ass for a high school senior.

Who, besides Elizabeth, was your favorite character to write?

I believe I enjoyed writing about Devlon. He is devious, manipulative, attractive, talented and one of the two loves Elizabeth has. He knows what he wants and goes to great lengths to get them all on the premise that Elizabeth is his.

What has been the most exciting thing about the writing/publishing process so far?

I, like many authors, enjoy creating new stories but its when I get feedback from my readers that makes it feel right. I get most excited when I get new reviews or personal messages about how much someone enjoyed my story.

Do you have any hidden or not so hidden talents/hobbies you can tell us about?

Hmm, I used to do beadwork – creating jewelry so that is one. Currently, I spend a lot of time crocheting.  I can do many crafts so I guess those would be hobbies.

After a long day, what is your favorite thing to do to relax?

I love to curl up and watch a movie or television show, drink a beer and snuggle with my husband and dogs.

Do you have any upcoming writing projects you can tell us something about?

I have three projects in the works at this moment. One is the second book, A Witch’s Reality, in The Chronicles of Elizabeth Fairbairn.

The second project is one called The Veil (the name may change but I’m not for certain yet) where the story follows a woman who finds out she is immortal. The Veil actually has a chapter where it meets up with Elizabeth Fairbairn (it will be in the third book of the Chronicles of Elizabeth Fairbairn where those readers see this).

The third project is called The Diamond Diaries. This story follows the creation and life of a diamond through time – millennia. You will be brought in from the diamonds point of view – experience the life and times it experiences.

What was the last really good movie that you watched?

The Conspirator. I love a good mystery and this brought about a side of the story of the murder of Abraham Lincoln I did not know.

Before you go, will you tell us a little something about the Jein’s Journey Series?

Ah, The Jein’s Journey Series. This series is where I began my writing that I shared with the world. Jein lives in a matriarchal society where the roles of men and women are clearly defined. Women rule. Men hunt, gather, and grow the food. There is a rich culture of beliefs and love for nature that dates back to their beginnings. Jein finds her home perfect, except she is not like any other woman she has ever met. Jein is a hunter and one of the best. She struggles to be herself in a world where it is not allowed or accepted. It’s when her government comes to her and her best friend for help that she truly begins to discover the many truths hidden away or lost in time. Jein must find her people a new land and in that journey she discovers so much more.

Currently there is Calastan, Resolution and Kyluna…eventually there will be a fourth called Aurora’s Time.

I also like to do a short game at the end of an interview so my readers can get to know you better. I will start the sentence, and you end it however you like!

I always go back for seconds when I eat…vegetables and salad. (yes I know that is weird)

People might be surprised if they knew I…played the trombone in the high school marching band. There were only three girls in the t-bone section and I was the smallest.

The best way to make me smile is by…being silly. (I love it when someone can just let go and be silly)

Someday I will learn how to…fly to a new galaxy! ( think this was the hardest question ever!)

The world would be a better place if…I had my own writing nook (like an office).
